Kangaroo Island 2

Sunday 25 April 2021

Sunrise at Kingscote, KI. Six Minto Probus members continue our two day tour of Kangaroo Island.

Sunday we head out to the badly fire damaged Flinders Chase National Park. Our tour guide Gaylene provides lots of photo stops and tells about some of the hardships endured by the locals during the fire.

Views of the fire damaged national park with lots of green re-growth.

At Cape Du Couedic the lighthouse and surounding bush was saved from the fire. It gives us the chance to see what the rest of the park would have been like.

It's a short walk down from the lightouse to the seal lookout at Cape Du Couedic, and here we see seals just lazing on the rocks waiting to be looked at.

Kathie & Peter brave the elements.

Just beyond the seal lookout we come across Admirals Arch.

Heading off to the next adventure.

We were all very surprised when we were take by Gaylene to see the "Remarkable Rocks" in the national park. We all remarked that these incredable rocks were not more well know. Truely amazing!

Back on the mini-bus for more exploring.

Emu Ridge Eucalypus Oil Distillery.

Back to Kingscote to see more wildlife and a spectacular sunset.
