Let's get to work!
Now that you have created your classes, scheduled them and opened for registration, you need to assign staff to your classes.
The first step in doing this is by collecting your staff's availability. To do this, you can create a spreadsheet with your staff's name down the left side. Across the top, include the days and times of the camps that will be offered. For example, along the left, it will say John Doe and Jane Doe below it. Then, if a class is offered Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-5:30, this should be listed across the top so that staff can fill in if they are Available or Unavailable during this time. An example of this (without staff names) can be found here: Staff Availability Sheet
Make sure to notify staff about this spreadsheet and ask them to fill it out by a specific date and time. You will likely have to remind staff to get this filled in multiple times until it is finished. Once all responses are in, figure out who is available for the needed class times and assign two staff to lead the class. If more than two staff members are available for the class, choose who would be best to lead the class based on interests and experience. For example, if you have four staff members that are available during an art class, schedule the two with the most experience or interest in art.
Once staff is scheduled for each class, add the staff to the class on Ideal-Logic and before the class starts, send them a Slack reminding them to fill in the Lesson Plan and check in to make sure they don't have any questions. Make sure to stay in communication with the staff running the class until the class has started. Answer any questions and make accommodations for them if necessary.
Before the class starts, make sure the Pacing Guides and Lesson Plans are completed for the class so that the staff is prepared.
