Matthew 7:24-29
A Foundation that Survives
24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
28 When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, 29 because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
John 8:58
Jesus Existed Before Abraham

Jesus and the Father are One
30 I and the Father are one.
John 14:1

1 Trust in God; trust also in me.
John 11:25-26
Jesus is the Resurrection
25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
Matthew 24:35
His Words Will Never Pass Away
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Jesus said many, mighty, and bold words...He said that anyone who hears My words should put them into practice, and if they didn't they were like a foolish man -a man foolish enough to build their house on sand...He said before Abraham was born, He existed...He teaches us that Him and God, His Father, are One...Then He teaches us to not only trust in God, but we should also put are trust in Him...Then He teaches us that He is the resurrection and the life and if we believe in Him, we will never die...Then He tells us that heaven will pass away, and that eventually the earth will pass away, but His words that He has spoken will never pass away...Who says these things?...These all are very powerful words to say, not only today, but in His time...
There have been many, many people read and write (and have read and have written) about our LORD Jesus Christ...There are many, many articles and books about Him...But one thing I have never read is that He is arrogant and is haughty...Yet, He said many things that could have been interpreted that way...Yet, something about Him, avoided those following Him and even His opposition to say that He was full of pride...He just did not come off that way...That was not in His personality...He had this authority and way (I believe it is a Divine Charisma) that was a part of Him...God gave Him this authority and this Divine Charisma...
Jesus made and spoke many great words, and claimed many things without a lot of convincing proofs -yet His words are still with us two thousand years later...He is this foundation that survives as He explains in this parable of the foolish builder...He is the Rock that we need in our lives...He really is this very foundation that He spoke about two thousand years ago...Jesus is completely unorthodox and completely unique to us, yet He does have this humble authority that everyone who reads the four gospels can see...
He is the most original thinker, I have ever read about...He even feels a little aloof, when I read the gospels...He seems not only great, but I cannot think of one man I can compare Him to -who has ever walked the earth...He is incomparable ..I am not sure it is even fair to call Him a man...If is a Man, He is Man at His highest potential...
