Matthew 9:9-13
The Calling of Matthew
9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
John 14:6-7
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
John 10:7-11 (KJV)
Jesus Came to Earth So That We Might Have an Abundant Life
7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
In a Spiritual Way believers look up to the heavens and seek our Father and His Son...And when you believe in Jesus, believers believe, that He actually did come down from heaven and dwelt among us to help us...So, Christianity is a unique belief and religion that One Man specifically was sent by God from heaven, to come to earth to call on and to help sinners...Jesus let's us know that He is seeking lost sinners...A Man who came from above and would help those who are lost...The gospel is unique in this respect that Jesus came down and dwelt among us to save the unrighteous...He does not say much about the righteous or those who think they are righteous and coming and helping them...So, if one thinks they are righteous, you may not know it, but you are lost...Because the One who came to earth was and is seeking those who are lost, and not the ones who thought were and are righteous and are living life the way it should be lived...A Man who said He is the Truth, the Way, and the Life, and the Only Way to God...And when you have seen Him and know Him, then you also know God...A Man of Truth, who is the Way to live our Life on earth, and to help us live it Abundantly...
