John 14:6-7
Jesus Says I AM TRUTH
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
John 17:13-19
God's Word is Truth
13 "I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them. 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
John 8:31-32
Jesus and Truth
31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 18:36-38
Jesus Came to Earth to Testify to the Truth
36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”
37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate.
Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
38 “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.
John 16:13
Spirit of Truth
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Everyone believes in some sort of Truth...One might have the right view of Truth or one may not...But when one thinks about it, why would one believe in anything unless it is the Truth or is True...Your worldview is how you see your life...And your worldview is greatly influenced on the Truths you believe in...Your Truth winds up as your own worldview and is a matter of life and death...This is because you will follow what you believe in, and what your Truth and Truths are in your journey through life...Your worldview is what you think about, how you perceive the world and reality, and influences you on your day to day decisions...Your Truths are how you make your decisions each day and how you see yourself, how you see others, and how you see the world around you...And the things you personally believe and what you believe in and what you personally believe are True or not True tell us a lot about ourselves...
All of us have a worldview, but maybe we do not know it or we haven't thought much about it...If you are an agnostic or a non-believer, then your thinking on those thoughts and ideas is the way you will lead your life...The agnostic and non-believer follows what they believe as Truth and follow that and that becomes they daily life and their daily routine...
I believe the agnostic and the non-believer are less influenced by the Bible than the believer...And the believer believes that the decisions he makes everyday gets him one step closer to God or one step further away from Him - because God is involved in the believers life...
For those who believe in God, believe in the Bible and believe that it should be followed and the Bible is the Truth, and it is how life should be lived...The Bible and God's Word is the Way life should be led, in their eyes...They believe that God's Word is Truth...They believe that by following Jesus' Teachings, you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free...They believe that Jesus came to earth to testify to the Truth...
So, it comes with little surprise that those who believe in Jesus and Christianity, believe that He did say that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and that no one can get to God except through Him...One who believes in God and Jesus, believe that They are the Absolute Truth...They believe that their is an indwelt Holy Spirit, who Jesus called the Spirit of Truth...Their Absolute Truth is the True Reality...Believers believe that Truth is exclusive and is not personal to each individual...They believe one plus one must be two, and that if one color shown to them and is red then it has to be red, it cannot be green...This helps show that Truth is exclusive and not personal...Believers believe more in Absolute Truth, than in their personal truths...Yet, they know that Truth is Personal, since the Person of Absolute Truth is Jesus - who just happens to have said He is Truth...
