I aim to improve the mental health of teenagers by organising a stress management club in which I will research and create 3 or modules that will focus on reducing stress.
The IB MYP Process Journal is a useful place to record information while working on all stages of the Personal Project. The student creates the journal in a format that suits his/her needs (scrapbook, word doc, blog, composition notebook, binder, etc.).
Before I began this project and selected a goal, I myself was struggling with my own mental health, so I further decided to make this project a chance for me to learn more about mental health in regards to stress and help others around me facing the same issue. I was able to go in depths in relation to new concepts such as psychology and stress. From this, I gained knowledge in different aspects that I didn’t know before, which helped me to explore my interests. This gave me valuable experience as it enhanced my communication, social, critical thinking, reflective skills and so much more. While designing the product I was able to further explore my creativity by making my own designs and layouts. This project helped to expand my understanding of self-management and organise myself in an efficient way. I was able to explore the depths of my global context identities and relationships, I made connections from different ideas and concepts and came up with solutions that I would demonstrate to my target audience. This project helped me to grow as a person and helped the people around me. I was put in unfamiliar situations and this taught me to adapt and overcome.
