I aim to conduct extensive research to create a blog that will explore the ethical production process and humane working conditions of the small cottage industries of India.
The IB MYP Process Journal is a useful place to record information while working on all stages of the Personal Project. The student creates the journal in a format that suits his/her needs (scrapbook, word doc, blog, composition notebook, binder, etc.).
The product for my personal project is a blog that features sustainable companies that have humane working conditions and source eco-friendly materials. This blog, Made Sustainable, acts as a one-stop hub for customers who want to live a more sustainable lifestyle. My project reflects the global context ”Fairness and Development”, because it explores our responsibilities towards the environment and how we can use the finite resources available to develop our society fairly. The process of searching for sustainable brands, interviewing them,
analyzing my data, and writing articles about them developed my IB learner profiles and allowed me to be a communicator, inquirer, knowledgeable, and reflective. It also enhanced my ATL
skills, especially my communication, self-management, and research skills. Overall, I am extremely grateful for the project that I chose to do because not only did it educate other people, but it also led to a great amount of personal development.
