To research about the causes and effects of iron deficient anaemia in children and then create an awareness campaign on how to overcome anemia to execute and promote it amongst elementary students in 5 governments schools in my locality by end of 2020.
The IB MYP Process Journal is a useful place to record information while working on all stages of the Personal Project. The student creates the journal in a format that suits his/her needs (scrap book, word doc., blog, composition notebook, binder, etc).
My project involves creating an awareness campaign on iron deficient anemia, a common issue in India, for government students in my locality. The project relates to the global context fairness and development as my campaign aims to bring equality in knowledge and economic development by ensuring the symptoms of anemia do not compromise students grades and their future. This global context ensured my thoughts and ideas were directed into this category and my project focused on meeting fairness and development. ATL skills that I have acquired from studying in IB has helped immensely throughout the project. Communicating and actively listening to my supervisor, respecting different opinions, managing all the tasks, and identifying problems to come up with creative solutions helped me create an ideal product. The IB attributes reminded me that we share this planet, and I must be a responsible member of the community by doing my part of educating the underprivileged on anemia.
