My Goal revolves around creating a website to display information about the pandemic in order to create factual awareness. I will develop my website through upskilling myself using online tutorials about web languages such as HTML and CSS.
The IB MYP Process Journal is a useful place to record information while working on all stages of the Personal Project. The student creates the journal in a format that suits his/her needs (scrapbook, word doc, blog, composition notebook, binder, etc.).
My personal project revolves around the creation of a basic functioning website that displays information about the pandemic creating factual awareness in the process, as well as helping me upskill myself in the coding languages HTML and CSS. I have demonstrated the use of research skills, self-management skills as well as thinking skills. The development and use of these skills have aided me in finishing my project successfully, by helping me stay on track, give adequate and appropriate references, as well as collect information on the basis of my topic. My global context which pertains to scientific and technical innovation, has helped define my end goal and where exactly I wanted to take my personal project. I have developed an open-minded mindset in the process of creating my personal project, by considering and learning new concepts such as coding (languages such as HTML, CSS) which I previously disliked. Throughout the entire journey, I have managed to develop unique ATL skills and IB learner profiles closely in relation to my identity. The process has helped me improve, develop and take leaps forward from an individual standpoint.
