Music is in a sense a time capsule.

Songs with their rhythm, melodies and lyrics are sources expressing emotions or topics regarding human life.

A song has an emotional bond with events. Happenings of historical value or not. The instruments, words and genre are a typical expression for a time period. A testimony of how someone deals with daily life in time.

Where in the past, we only found written sources to reconstruct time, since a few centuries there have been images and sound recordings from which we can learn a lot.

Music takes a big part in our lives. It offers fun, companionship, friendship, love, understanding and comfort. Music is welcome to pass the time and dispel loneliness.

Music has always been regarded as a means of distraction. It distracts attention or focus. Nothing is less true. Everything depends on the student. Is he or she willing to muster the concentration needed? Man in silence searches the world. The chirping of a bird, the buzzing of a bee, a passing car, and so on. All excuses to connect to the world.

But why giving some songs a place on the website?

The answer is actually very simple. When students have to study or work on an assignment, they often ask if they can listen to music in the meantime. Music puts the human mind in an isolating bubble, where the person concentrates on an assignment, without being distracted or disturbed by the surrounding world.

Suprisingly, students often turn to classics. They discover a new song that they love. A discovery that they want to share with parents and teachers. A song that these people know. This music connects people.

Then why not offer songs to the topics? A song can serve as a tool to process knowledge.
