Genesis 50:19-21
God's Will
19 But Joseph said to them, "Don't be afraid. Am I in the place of God? 20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. 21 So then, don't be afraid. I will provide for you and your children." And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them.
Jacob's sons and Joseph's brothers sold him (Joseph) to Egyptian slave traders...The eleven brothers intended it to harm Joseph...God intended it for good and for Joseph to accomplish important things in Egypt...
God often does things that we do not know that will turn out for the good, but He does...Joseph was put in a position by God to help people...Joseph being in Egypt was God's will...Sometimes we fight God's will...When we think and do things for our purpose we want to have God follow us... We do God's will as long as it is our will first...If it is not His will we only wind up fighting against God...As Jesus often prays and taught us in the Lord's Prayer, let "God's will be done"...
