Genesis 1:24-31
God Creates Man in His Own Image
24 And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
27
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
Judges 21:25 (KJV)
With King and No One to Guide Man He Does What is Right in His Own Eyes
25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
John 14:6-7 (KJV)
Jesus Says He is the Truth, Way, and the Life
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
Luke 6:31
The Golden Rule
31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.
God during His creation process created man in His Own Image...And when God created man in His Image, He told man to rule over the over creatures and life of the earth, and God told man he was to rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground...Moses wrote about what he saw, and he saw and talked to God...The first five books of the Bible were written by Moses...Moses and the rest of the Bible teach us about God...
Evolution teaches us something very different...Evolution teaches us that we are just another animal, derived from most likely from the first molecules in the chemistry of a warm little pond, or some other primordial water based river, lake or ocean...And from these first molecules of this waterway came simple life and one celled creatures and then after millions of years later the one celled creatures of the water changed and changed and changed again into ape-like creatures until we eventually evolved into man...And thus man has ancestors as apes, and we are closely related to them...
One thing that happened in all these million of years that is not explained in evolution or by Charles Darwin is how morality came about...We cannot answer why we feel it is wrong to hurt children or rape someone or hurt animals that have done nothing wrong...But most people, if not all people, believe in basic human rights...Yet, believers in God and believers in evolution do not agree where morality and human rights come from...We have the question about man and God...Which is right and Truth, man's word or God's Word?...Now Jesus answers this question, specifically about Truth, when He says that He is Truth...Jesus is declaring Himself as Absolute Truth...But others do not believe Him, and they believe in the majesty of man...We see the Greatest of Morality in Jesus...
So do you believe God and Jesus?...So this gives us two different worldviews, the Majesty of God or the majesty of man...When there is no Absolute Truth, then man will do what is right in his own eyes...So, if man believes in his eyes that evil is the right thing to do, then he can do evil, if one follows and believes in Darwin's Theory of Evolution...We then after all have no God or Jesus to follow and no One to judge us...
The Bible is about morality and keeping and holding on to one's morals...We are to always believe in the right and the good...And one can look around the world and observe these objective moral facts, such as a belief in basic human rights...Treat others the same way you want others to treat you is a basic moral belief...Humans possess these basic moral universal beliefs...So one would and can assume that universal morals are evidence of God...
Evolution without God creates a non-moral view of life...A view of I can do whatever is right in my own eye-viewpoint...And if evil is what I believe, then evil is what I will do...This is evolutionary-type thinking ruling our thoughts and beliefs and viewpoints...So over time the more we believe in evolution and that God and Jesus are not the Universal Truths and Judge of the World, then the more we will see immoral behavior grow and evolve...And if man is just an animal, and evolved from random processes, then one would expect this...
But believers believe that man is special and God did create Him in His Own Image...So morality is seen as evidence of God if you believe in Him...Otherwise morality along with all the other good things of man evolved out of nothing and nowhere and we somehow randomly chose as part of the evolutionary process a thousand or million years ago to be moral and good instead of choosing and being evil and mean...
