Genesis 4:6-9
Doing What is Right
6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it."
8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.
9 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?"
"I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?"
The Natural Laws of God is to do right...God is a Moral God...Humanity can sense the right morality...
God ask Cain "If you do what is right, will you not the accepted?"...God in the second part of verse seven, tells Cain if you do something or things that are not right, then sin will be with you...But you must master sin, and do what is right...This of course, can very difficult...We all should do what is right...
Cain even though hearing this (from God) goes out and kills his brother... Then after God asks Cain where is Abel, Cain doesn't answer honestly...Cain did not listen (to God) about sinning, he then kills his brother, and then he lies to God...
Back to verse seven, God tries to teach Cain to do what is right and not sin...Now Cain will have sin crouching at his door...
