18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
John 16:1-15
Jesus Speaks about the Holy Spirit
1 “All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God.3 They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. 4 I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them. I did not tell you this from the beginning because I was with you, 5 but now I am going to him who sent me. None of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 Rather, you are filled with grief because I have said these things.7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 about sin, because people do not believe in me; 10 about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11 and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.
12 “I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. 13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. 14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. 15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
John 14:26
The Holy Spirit Sent by God in Jesus' Name
26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
John 14:6-7
Jesus is Truth
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
God is Spirit...He is also eternal and divine...He gives us a Spirit, a Holy Spirit...A Holy Spirit, that is an Advocate for us, that helps us see better the sacred and divine...The Holy Spirit is from God, and in the name of Jesus...It is our connection to the Father and Son...The Holy Spirit teaches, reminds, and guides us...The Holy Spirit, also called the Spirit of Truth, it will guide us to all Truth, and to Jesus Christ, if we allow it...This is because Jesus is Truth...And Jesus is the One who gets us to His Father...Although, there is this feel of mystery hen we look up and see the Light and feel an energy about the heavenly things, there is this connection among things...
And although this connection is an invisible one, we can somehow and at times in our lives, feel these invisible qualities of creation...And at times, when we look at the heavenly bodies of the universe and of creation of the world, we can somehow see and feel that it is divine and sacred...When we look to the skies, the heavenly bodies appear created in an essence of Spirituality...And we now have more of an ability to look closer and closer at the heavenly bodies and all of earth...And by looking and studying these things that have been created, we feel that they are quite unique and something grand did happen, when all these things were first created in the beginning...And in the beginning, all these things of the universe somehow came together in a most organized way...There is something so grand about creation and all things of the earth and sky, that we feel this Spirit, this Divine, and a Spirituality in the heavenly bodies...And we feel this connection or a connection to all this grandness, with a soul and the Holy Spirit, which is within us and given to us...
Jesus gives us the Holy Spirit...The Holy Spirit gives us the fruits of love, joy, kindness, faithfulness, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, and self control...We also are give by Jesus forgiveness, mercy, justice, and morality...These traits help set us free...These characteristics help us love our neighbor and to love God...These things guide us to the Truth...
When we look to the heavens we see and feel this elegance, this uniqueness, this grandness, this mystery of God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit, are things that seem infinite...We also see these things where we find the Truth...
