Genesis 24:29-31
God created us to be Good
29 Now Rebekah had a brother named Laban, and he hurried out to the man at the spring. 30 As soon as he had seen the nose ring, and the bracelets on his sister's arms, and had heard Rebekah tell what the man said to her, he went out to the man and found him standing by the camels near the spring. 31 "Come, you who are blessed by the LORD," he said. "Why are you standing out here? I have prepared the house and a place for the camels."
These verses show Great Morality...When God created us He made us in His image...He created an innate goodness in us...In the Old Testament times when a stranger was seen, the Old Testament shows examples of hospitality, to people one did not even know...
God gave us later the Ten Commandments and commandments discuss what is good and do the opposite (of the Ten Commandments) that which is not good..."You shall and You shall not" are more than just a written list of do's and don'ts...They define a the relationship God wants to have with Him...And the relationship He wants us to have with others (good relationships)...
This knowing what is good and when we feel bad (when we do something bad) is the nature in which God made man...In fact, it is one of the many arguments for God's existence, that all over the world there is goodness in man...Yet, I do not know how well man has implemented these verses over the history of mankind...
