Genesis 1:1-2
God Creates the Universe
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
Romans 1:18-32
God and the Universe
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy.32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
1 John 4:7-21
God is LOVE and He LOVED Us First
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9 This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19 We love because he first loved us. 20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 21 And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.
Genesis 2:4-25
Adam and Eve, First Husband and Wife
4 This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created, when the Lord God made the earth and the heavens.
5 Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, 6 but streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground. 7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.
8 Now the Lord God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed. 9 The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
10 A river watering the garden flowed from Eden; from there it was separated into four headwaters. 11 The name of the first is the Pishon; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12 (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.) 13 The name of the second river is the Gihon; it winds through the entire land of Cush. 14 The name of the third river is the Tigris; it runs along the east side of Ashur. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
19 Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said,
“This is now bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
she shall be called ‘woman,’
for she was taken out of man.”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.
25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
God is Infinite and Eternal...God's fingerprint is on the universe and He is seen as we reflect on the expanding and infinite universe He created in the beginning...We see Him through these things He created and made, like the air, gravity, the sky, the sun, the moon, the grass, the trees...We also see Him in the love, faith, and hope around us...Creation speaks of God...
When God created the world He gave us great evidence of Himself...In creating the universe, He finely tuned it, so that mankind and many other life forms could live on one planet called earth...Earth is unique to all the other planets that God created...There is much design on earth, as well as in the universe...God LOVES numbers and we see the connection of the universe, God, and math...More and more we are discovering mathematical formulas that describe the universe in numbers form...The mathematical equations that science has given us over the years show that the universe is telling us a pattern of design and a great story...The mathematics point to a universe that is Divinely Designed by an Intelligent Designer...The law of mathematics and equations speak of a Divine Designer...The mathematics of the universe show that the universe has been finely tuned and adjusted to support life...Earth can not only support life, but somehow it was created to sustain life...The mathematical equations that science has given us show that the universe is telling us a story...Creation helps us come to believe in God and the extreme knowledge and wisdom He has...
God put man on the planet earth and made it in such a way that he could live on it and we could love Him...God LOVES us and gives us our freewill to love Him...And God gave man freewill to make his own choices...Yet somehow God makes fate and the things He wishes, His plans to happen, while still allowing and intervening in all the things that He wants to happen...So we have both fate and freewill happening around us, with His knowledge of both fate and freewill...And His intervention works its way to fit His plans...This linkage of fate and freewill is difficult to explain...In fact, just the point of man having freewill, is difficult to explain...And as a part of man's freewill faith comes out of it (or doesn't come out of it, if you do not believe in Him)...There are many people of faith, who believe in God, and in fact, there are many religions who have faith...The non-believer cannot explain where freewill or faith originally came from, but the believer believes it came from God...
So from the numbers and math faith can come...And like our faith and from our faith God gave us love...Where did the things of faith, hope, and love come from?...Could have love, faith, and hope came from the Big Bang like creation did (as some who believe in the Big Bang)?...Or did they evolve, so in the very beginning, there was no love in the first man?...Love comes from God, because God is LOVE, and He gave us love...We have learned love from Him...So God LOVED Adam, and Adam loved Eve...
Creation love, and faith are all evidence created by a Loving Intelligent Designer...
