Genesis 1:31
God Creates Time
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
Matthew 6:25-34
Do Not Worry About Yesterday or Tomorrow
25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
28"And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
God spoke and creation happened...And when creation happened, He put time into place and onto earth...And God saw all that He made and it was very good, and we had evening, and we had morning...We now had time...So God gave man time...And we live in time, and thus time is our life...
When we think about time, we can only live actually in the current or present moment...We do have a past, a past history, and we can think about our future and what might happen...But when it comes to living, we can only live in this very present moment...
As God understands and lives in eternity, while man can live only in the present moment, a moment at a time...Our understanding is limited to time, so our understanding is only small and not as clear as God can see things...Man and his time on earth is not timeless...God is not constrained by anything, specifically when we talk about time...God is timeless, He is eternal...God is not confined to time, but sees His Creation through eternity and Lives Eternally...Man is confined to time and does not see what God can see, and thus cannot understand what God can see and understand...And so we get sometimes things we don't understand about time and eternity, as well as other things related to time and eternity...
C. S. Lewis wrote that “Time is the very lens through which ye see—small and clear, as men see through the wrong end of a telescope—something that would otherwise be too big for ye to see at all...That thing is Freedom: the gift whereby ye most resemble your Maker and are yourselves parts of eternal reality...But ye can see it only through the lens of Time, in a little clear picture, through the inverted telescope...It is a picture of moments following one another and yourself in each moment making some choice that might have been otherwise.”...
