Community Advocate & Entrepreneur


Founding member and supporter of the Gaucho Social Club, which operated in Falls Church for over four decades. The Gaucho Social Club was where African Americans could socialize, meet to discuss issues, and feel safe gathering in a segregated community.

Entrepreneur, owning commercial property on Broad Street in the 1950s.


As owner and operator of a boarding house, she regularly fed the hungry and rented rooms to working men in the area. She was also a beautician who made her own line of hair care products for her patrons.


Longtime member of the Second Baptist Church in Falls Church.
