Cay Wiant

An accomplished storyteller and dedicated writer, especially in the field of fantasy fiction, exploring tales of ‘the heroic quest’ and the intriguing fairy world.

A lifelong educator who served in FCCPS from 1986 to 2007 as an English teacher at both George Mason Middle & High Schools and earlier in her career as the gifted education resource teacher at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School.

Received the Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award in 2003.

Served for almost a decade as president of the employee-based Falls Church Education Association, advocating passionately and eloquently on behalf of salary and benefits for school employees.

A long-time member of the Falls Church League of Women Voters and the Village Preservation and Improvement Society

Served as a deacon at the Falls Church Presbyterian Church and a member of the choir.

Creative Cauldron’s Black Box theater has been dedicated in her honor as the “Cay Wiant Theater.”
