Member of Falls Church Arts (FCA), president from 2011–2020.

Initiated the Falls Church Plein Air Festival in 2012.

Chair of the Falls Church Arts and Humanities Council, an advisory body to the City Council, comprised of 14 organizations chartered by the City to support art and cultural efforts of city non-profits (2015–2020).

Founder of the Little City CATCH Foundation (TLCCF), established to receive donations to promote the arts, theater, culture, and history of the City.

Board member of the Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce (1999–2020).

Chairman and CEO of Watch Night, the Falls Church New Year’s Eve Celebration.

President of the Falls Church Cable Access Corporation (2009–2015)

Recipient of the Carroll V. Shreve Award for meritorious humanitarian service, and two-time recipient of the Pillar of the Community Award, both from the Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce.

Recipient of the Citizen of the Year award from The Rotary Club of Falls Church.
