Ardith Cronin

Community Activist & Leader

Longtime member of the Falls Church League of Women Voters, serving as president from 1960 to 1962.

Member of the Falls Church City Council, 1963.

Member of the Falls Church Planning Commission, 1962, 1964–1970, and 1975–1982, serving several terms as chairman during her tenure.

Served as a member and first woman chairman of the Northern Virginia Regional Commission, an independent regional planning body, from 1967 to 1983. She helped create a master plan for the City of Falls Church, which has been a successful model for more than 30 years.

Served as a member of the executive committee of Citizens for a Better City, 1963–1967 and 1990–1992.
