With everything that is going on

In a stressed and turbulent world

With kids dying in slavery,

Genocide in Gaza,

Bombs falling on Syria,

Bankers trying to engineer

The start of World War Three

Only a loon would consider -

I hear you say -

A game of Soccer

To be in any way

Of any great importance.

The irony is,

If this were a sane planet,

It probably would be.
