Taking inspiration from the world around her, and seldom to be found without a pencil clutched in her hand, Sussex-based artist Gill Kaye is happiest with a stick of charcoal, ream of paper and a nude model. She finds herself currently going through a portrait phase, and relishes the challenge of capturing the likeness of her subject, whether human or animal.
In her spare time she is the editor of the excellent arts magazine ingénu/e.
