March 1, 1980, Steven Stayner and Timothy White hitchhiked the 70+ miles into Ukiah, CA. Close to midnight the pair would find themselves at the Ukiah police station.

Map of route possibly taken by Steven and Timothy when in Ukiah. First, Steven tried to take Timothy to his babysitter's house near Dora St. and Puce Ave. When she wasn't home they eventually made their way to the police station, near the Palace Hotel on N. State Street where Parnell was working.
