Prediking van het Koninkrijk

The Scriptures show that John the Baptist was the last of those who “obtained a good report through faith”; and who, because of their faith, shall be raised from the dead in their “better resurrection.”

From the time of John the Baptist a new order began, through the preaching of the Kingdom by Jesus Christ and his apostles, as the Scriptures say:

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the Kingdom of God is preached” – Luke 16:16.

Jesus also said:

“Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not arisen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the Kingdom of heaven is greater than he...for all the prophets and the law prophesied until John” – Matt. 11:11-13.

Thus we see that from the time when our lord and his apostles preached the Kingdom of heaven, that is, the Spiritual part of the Kingdom, none were invited to the earthly part of the Kingdom. John the Baptist was the last of these; and even the least in the Spiritual Kingdom will be greater than John, although none greater than John had been born; for those who are Spiritual are necessarily higher than those who are earthly.

De Bijbel laat zien dat Johannes de Doper de laatste was van degenen die 'door geloof een goed bericht kregen'; en die vanwege hun geloof uit de dood zullen worden opgewekt in hun "betere opstanding".

Vanaf de tijd van Johannes de Doper begon een nieuwe ordening, door de prediking van het Koninkrijk door Jezus Christus en zijn apostelen, zoals de Schrift zegt:

“De wet en de profeten waren tot aan Johannes: sinds die tijd wordt het Koninkrijk van God gepredikt” – Lukas 16:16.

Jezus zei ook:

'Voorwaar, Ik zeg u, onder hen die uit vrouwen zijn geboren, is er geen grotere opgestaan ​​dan Johannes de Doper: ondanks dat hij die de minste is in het Koninkrijk der hemelen groter is dan hij ... want alle profeten en de Wet profeteerden tot aan Johannes ”- Matt. 11: 11-13.

Zo zien we dat vanaf de tijd dat onze heer en zijn apostelen het koninkrijk des hemels predikten, dat wil zeggen het geestelijke deel van het koninkrijk, er niemand meer was uitgenodigd voor het aardse deel van het koninkrijk. Johannes de Doper was de laatste van deze; en zelfs de kleinste in het geestelijke koninkrijk zal groter zijn dan Johannes, hoewel niemand groter dan Johannes was geboren; want degenen die spiritueel zijn, zijn noodzakelijkerwijs hoger dan degenen die aards zijn.
