Going away from Babylon - Weggaan uit Babylon

Already soon in the age of the apostles and early disciples of Jesus there were false teachers. The apostles warned for them, but their popularity made them gain followers. Later several people would say

"They are with the most followers, so they must be the true teachers - or the true church".

However, people should not ignore the Bible's warnings (or Divine warning). The Old Testament states very clearly Who God is and how only He is to be recognized, glorified and worshipped as the Only True One God.

Those who want to love and approach the One True God must do so in the right way. In doing so, they will have to check the churches' teachings and compare what is proclaimed there with what is proclaimed in the Bible.

It cannot be ignored that several so-called Christian churches do not honour the God of Christ at all, nor adhere to the teachings of Christ.

As Jesus called in his day to worship only the One True God, that call is still valid for today and tomorrow. The point is that man has to come to the only true worship. To do that, he will have to turn away from many worldly things and choose more spiritual values, maturity and richness.

Everyone is called upon to make their own choice and to go on the right, but also narrow way, to go to the narrow gate to enter the Kingdom of God.

Al spoedig in het tijdperk van de apostelen en vroege discipelen van Jezus waren er valse leraren. De apostelen waarschuwden voor hen, maar hun populariteit zorgde ervoor dat ze meer volgelingen kregen. Later zouden verschillende mensen zeggen

"Ze hebben de meeste volgers, dus ze moeten de ware leraren zijn - of de ware kerk".

Mensen mogen de Bijbelse waarschuwingen echter niet in de wind slaan. Het Oude Testament geeft heel duidelijk aan Wie God is en hoe alleen Hij als Enige Ware God (boven alle goden) moet erkend, verheerlijkt en aanbeden worden.

Zij die de Enige Ware God willen liefhebben en benaderen moeten dit op de juiste manier doen. Hierbij zullen zij de kerken hun leer moeten nagaan en datgene wat daar verkondigd wordt moeten vergelijken met wat er in de Bijbel verkondigd wordt.

Men kan er niet naast zien dat meerdere zogenaamde Christelijke kerken helemaal niet de God van Christus eren, noch zich houden aan de leer van Christus.

Zoals Jezus in zijn tijd opriep om enkel de Enige Ware God te aanbidden, blijft die oproep nog geldig voor vandaag en morgen. Het komt er op aan dat de mens tot de enige ware aanbidding komt. Om dat te doen zal hij zich moeten afzetten van vele wereldse zaken en moeten kiezen voor meer geestelijke waarden, rijpheid en rijkdom.

Iedereen wordt opgeroepen om zelf een eigen keuze te maken en de juiste, maar ook wel smalle weg, op te gaan om naar de nauwe poort te gaan om het Koninkrijk van God te kunnen binnentreden.

To come out of Babylon cannot mean a physical emigration from the midst of the nations of Christendom and/or Christianity. Not only Christendom, but all the earth, is to be devoured with the fire [the fiery trouble] of the El Saddai’s anger, though the fiercest of His wrath will be against the enlightened nations of Christendom, who knew, or at least had abundant opportunity to know, God’s Will.

The idea of the command is a separation from all the binding yokes of Christendom — to have no part nor lot in her civil, social or religious organizations. This is both from principle and from a wise and divinely directed policy.

On principle, as soon as the increased light of harvest truth illuminates our minds and makes manifest the deformities of error, we must be loyal to the former and discard the latter by withdrawing all our influence and support from it. This implies the withdrawal from the various religious organizations, whose doctrines misrepresent and make void the Word of God. It places us in the attitude of aliens toward all existing civil powers; not opposing aliens, however, but peaceable and law-abiding aliens, who render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s — aliens whose citizenship is in heaven, and not upon earth; whose influence is always favourable to righteousness, justice, mercy and peace.

Principle in some cases, and policy in others, would separate us from the various social arrangements among men. On principle, it would set free any who are entangled with the oaths and obligations of the various secret societies.

Ye who were in darkness are now light in the Lord, should walk as children of light, having no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reproving them. Eph. 5:6-17

But as we come closer and closer to the great crisis of this "evil day" it will doubtless be manifest to those who view the situation from the standpoint of "the sure word of prophecy," that, even if there be cases where principle is not involved, it will be the part of wisdom to withdraw from the various social and financial bondages which must inevitably succumb to the ravages of world-wide revolution and anarchy.

Uit Babylon komen kan niet een fysieke emigratie betekenen uit het midden van de natiën van het christendom en/of christenheid. Niet alleen het christendom, maar de hele aarde zal worden verslonden door het vuur [de vurige moeite] van de toorn van de El Shaddai, hoewel het hevigste van Zijn toorn zal tegen de verlichte naties van het christendom zijn, die het wisten, of in ieder geval overvloedige gelegenheid hadden om de Wil van God te weten.

Het idee van het gebod is een scheiding van alle bindende jukken van het christendom - om geen deel of aandeel te hebben in haar burgerlijke, sociale of religieuze organisaties. Dit is zowel uit principe als uit een wijs en goddelijk gericht beleid.

In principe, zodra het toegenomen licht van de oogstwaarheid onze geest verlicht en de misvormingen van dwaling duidelijk maakt, moeten we loyaal zijn aan de eerste en de laatste verwerpen door al onze invloed en steun eraan te onttrekken. Dit impliceert de terugtrekking uit de verschillende religieuze organisaties, wiens doctrines een verkeerde voorstelling van zaken geven en het Woord van God ongeldig maken. Het plaatst ons in de houding van buitenaardse wezens ten opzichte van alle bestaande civiele machten; niet tegen buitenaardse wezens, maar vreedzame en gezagsgetrouwe buitenaardse wezens, die aan Caesar de dingen geven die Caesar toebehoren, en aan God de dingen die van God zijn - buitenaardse wezens wiens burgerschap in de hemel is, en niet op aarde; wiens invloed altijd gunstig is voor gerechtigheid, gerechtigheid, barmhartigheid en vrede.

Principe in sommige gevallen, en beleid in andere, zou ons scheiden van de verschillende sociale regelingen onder de mens. In principe zou het iedereen vrijlaten die verwikkeld is in de eden en verplichtingen van de verschillende geheime genootschappen.

Gij die in duisternis was, bent nu licht in de Heer, zou als kinderen van het licht moeten wandelen, geen gemeenschap hebben met de onvruchtbare werken van de duisternis, maar hen veeleer terechtwijzen. Eph. 5: 6-17

Maar als we steeds dichter bij de grote crisis van deze 'boze dag' komen, zal het ongetwijfeld duidelijk zijn voor degenen die de situatie vanuit het standpunt van 'het zekere woord van profetie' bekijken, dat, zelfs als er gevallen zijn waarin principe niet betrokken is, zal het, het deel van de wijsheid zijn om zich terug te trekken uit de verschillende sociale en financiële gebondenheden die onvermijdelijk moeten bezwijken voor de verwoestingen van wereldwijde revolutie en anarchie.

When Jesus was here on earth, he preached God's Word and went to great lengths to make it clearer to people what that Word meant. With illustrations or parables, he hoped that his audience would gain insight into how to take control of their lives and prepare for the times ahead, where one had to be sure to be well prepared for when that End Time would come. That one should not be like foolish virgins or invited to a wedding, who eventually arrive late and find the door closed.

Toen Jezus hier op aarde was predikte hij Gods Woord en deed veel moeite om het mensen duidelijker te maken wat dat Woord in hield. Met gelijkenissen of parabels hoopte hij dat zijn toehoorders inzicht zouden krijgen hoe zij hun leven moesten gaan beheersen en zich voorbereiden om de komende tijden, waarbij men er zeker van moest zijn om goed voorbereid te zijn voor als die Eindtijd zou aantreden. Dat men niet zou zijn als dwaze maagden of voor een bruiloft uitgenodigden, die uiteindelijk te laat komen en de deur gesloten vinden.
