My work teeters along the lines of abstract realism and expressionism. I love using color and technique to convey the moments of emotion that I capture with my Zoe. The beautiful California blues and greens employed by David Hockney, the tents of Tracey Emin, the simplistic and expressive squiggles and lines of Henri Matisse, and the impasto application of pallet knife found in my ultimate guru Bob Ross are all major sources of inspiration that I endlessly draw on in my art.
