This online gallery was created to supplement the physical gallery at Mandeville Center on the UC San Diego campus. Undergraduate students and classes can post documentation of their shows or create exclusively online exhibitions. 

Adam D. Kamil Gallery

Adam was a UC San Diego, Visual Arts Media major with a passion for the power of media to connect people. To honor the memory of their son, the Kamil family established the Adam Douglas Kamil Media Awards. In January 2014, the Kamil Family endowed the award and in recognition of this contribution, the department renamed the Mandeville Annex Gallery as the Adam D. Kamil Gallery. This gallery is a site for undergraduate art shows and hosts the annual reception and exhibition for students that participate in the Adam D. Kamil Media Awards.

Visual Arts majors and minors at the junior or senior level are eligible to submit a proposal to show in the Kamil Gallery for one week during the academic school year. Shows may be solo or group exhibitions. Students sign up on a first-come first-served basis. Students must submit in a one page typed proposal to sign up: nlesley@ucsd.edu

There are several class and group shows booked in the Kamil Gallery at the end of every Spring Quarter. For this reason we encourage students to book time during the Fall and Winter Quarters, if possible. The space is in high demand, so please send your proposal as soon as possible to reserve time.

The Adam D. Kamil Guest Lecture is intended to inspire undergraduate students and to provide insight into the career of an established artist working in media production.
