This watercolor exploration allowed me to explore abstract hinting at forms and landscape. Loosely exploring the aspects of nature.
Some references are direct observation others from photographs. I began by layering the different dimensions of my landscapes, usually starting with the sky. Then making my way to layers of contrast and details. I challenge myself in shying away from details and focusing on the composition and flow of the painting.
I painted literally what I saw. This is a very tiring yet refreshing exercise. I let the watercolors guide me and didn't let myself get caught up in details.
