Mixed media extended blind contour

The idea of this art was deconstructed line drawings, a cohesive interpretation of a feeling. The feeling of lying around,  boredom but intensified and dramaticized. 

This artwork started with simple blind contour drawings, then I started adding layer by layer of watercolor and guache. The lines of the pen were so harsh I wanted to dim them down a bit so I coated lighter colors over them to make them more washed out. 

This piece has many steps. Lots and lots of layers. At some points I poured water onto my paper, added paint and let it sit overnight. I really wanted to add a younique element so I decide last minute to sew a few lines across the paper.
