It's FLASHBACK week!
Hello everyone :)
This will be our final (fingers crossed) week of Performing Arts for remote learning. So, for this week I have some fun activities for each level along with some FLASHBACK videos from Performing Arts last year for you to complete. Before you attempt any of the learning tasks or song videos, I also have the GRATITUDE JAR at the top of this week's section. I would like you to take 15 minutes to fill in your jar with all the things you are most grateful for while being in lockdown at home. Some things that I was grateful for during this time were; Spending time with my son Leon and playing lots of games with him, all the extra cuddles I got to have with my dog Peki and being able to see some students shine with their amazing videos during remote learning!
I absolutely can't wait to see you ALL next week and I wish you all the very best with your return back to our wonderful school, SPA.

Hello everyone,
Welcome to Week 9 in Performing Arts.
There is a lot going on this week, so make sure you take the time to scroll down on this page and find out what you need to do. This week, on Friday, we will have another catch up Zoom with Miss V and Mr Valeri, so please find out what time your year level or class is scheduled for down below. I have also listed an exciting Zoom rehearsal for the SPA Choir, which you will need to email me if you would like to attend, so I can send you the details and password for.
This week, all children will have one learning task as well as a rhythm practice video to complete. Please email your responses to epagonis@spadoreen.catholic.edu.au.
Before I go, check out Sean's awesome and creative rainforest video from last week! I thought that this was really creative. Well done Sean! I will also be uploading the Little Red Riding Hood mash up video this week, so be sure to keep checking this page. Thank you to everyone who sent me their amazing acting in Week 8! Hello everyone,
This week we are taking a "Trip down memory lane" and you (all year levels) have the opportunity to not only learn one of my favourite songs from when I was young, but also a song from an adult in your own home (from when they were young too)!
So, this week, there are 3 activities to participate in for Performing Arts, as well as our exciting Catch up Zoom session on Friday 27th of August.
Activity One: Click the video on the left of this text to learn the song "Rainbow Connection" and complete the Rainbow Drawing task. Send your rainbow picture to epagonis@spadoreen.catholic.edu.au. (More information is in the video!)
Activity Two: Learn a song from an adult in your home. Record this song along with your interview responses to my email address. (More information is below)
Activity Three: 90's music trivia. Can you guess my favourite 90's music bands?
Remember, Lockdown is a great time to connect with music. Whether that means playing an instrument, singing along to your favourite songs, dancing like no one is watching or simply relaxing while listening to your favourite bands - now is a great time for music to bring a little comfort and cheer into your home and heart. What music have you been listening to? Drop me an email and let me know!

Hi there,
Take 10-15 minutes to close your eyes and relax your mind while listening to the sounds of the rainforest. This wonderful habitat in our environment naturally has so many creatures and elements that sound musical to our ears.
Let's see who can name the most sounds that they hear in the rainforest. You should write down at least 10.
I would like you to create a soundscape of the rainforest by finding instruments or objects around your house that could make the sounds that you heard. Your family or siblings can help you play things at the same time if you need.
Record a video of your rainforest and send to epagonis@spadoreen.edu.au
To give you some inspiration, watch the video below of a choir using body percussion to make the rainforest soundscape. (Not all sounds need to be made with instruments)
Once you have completed the Rainforest task, please play a Drama game according to your year level below. Of course, it's totally okay if you would like to play a game from another year level too! Enjoy

Hello everyone... (Again!)
Well here we are again on the remote learning page and I am sure that you are ready to do some great learning from the comfort of our very own homes! This week for Performing Arts, I would like you to rewind to Lockdown 5.0 (July 26th - 30th) and to have a look at the video I put together for the SPA Talent Show in Lockdown... if you didn't get around to creating your video, please do so this week. This applies to all year levels and to all children. If you were one of the students who sent me a video, well done! Remember - the 3 special judges will send you specific feedback for your performance!

I would like you to put on a play about Goldilocks for your family this week using the stick puppets below. Colour in each one and attach to an ice cream stick or straw and then act out the story of the bears. Focus on changing your voice for each character... How does Daddy sound? How does Goldilocks sound? How will you make each voice sound different to each other?

As the SPAtacular approaches, we have been looking at acting and the Drama Elements of: Props, Setting, Plot, Character and Dialogue in Performing Arts during Week 4. Another really important part of Drama is the use of face expression, voice projection and body shapes.
I would like you to choose one of the above play scripts and practice acting with your family, focusing on really getting into character and changing your face, voice and body to suit who you are pretending to be. Then, record your scene and reflect on your performance using WWW + EBI (What Went Well, Even Better If).

Hello Choir,
Please click on the Choir picture to take you to a Singing lesson from last year, where I have singing exercises, a video lesson on the round "Swing Low" and a few more bits and pieces for you to practice during your time at home.
Take this time at home to practice singing the songs that we have been learning during our rehearsals this year. You might like to perform these for your family and ask for their feedback on how your performance went. The songs we have learnt in choir so far include;
