Once on the app, click on 'Ecco Mi' to access it. You can 'add a response' to have a try and practise introducing yourself using some familiar Italian phrases.
Please check Seesaw to see the new Italian task assigned for this week.
Read the passage. See if you can translate it into English.
Use what you know about the English language to help you.
Can you find all the family in the word search?
When you have found all the the words needed, have a go at translating then on to english.
Buona fortuna.
Create your family tree. Remember to write the language needed in Italiano.
Make a card for your Papà and let him know how much you care. Print out the card, colour and decorate it and on the inside write a message for your Papà . Start with 'Caro Papà ', then write your message using this format...
Tu sei...(you are)
Grazie per...(thank you for)
Con affetto...(with love)
Your message might look like this:
Caro Papà ,
Tu sei the best Papà in the world.
Grazie per always finding the time to play with me.
Con affetto,
Johnny
Wishing you all very happy Festa del Papà !
This week we are revising 'The Family'. Watch the powerpoint reintroducing the family members to you and then complete the assigned activity. I have added a short video for you to practise the gestures. Grazie!
Over the past two weeks you’ve had the opportunity to read and listen to “Adesso Parliamo". A big ‘grazie’ to the children who emailed me their responses.
This week I would like to use the language that you have revised and learnt when listening to the story, and language that you already know to fill in the speech bubbles with what you think the children might be saying - in ITALIANO!
Try not to look back at the story - use your knowledge. Be creative.
Click the link down below to translate a short passage of Italian into English. Make a copy to your Italian folder on your Google Drive.
The passage has familiar words that we have learnt during Italian sessions. There are also some unfamiliar words. Have a go at translating them yourself. Please do not use Google Translate. Having a go is the main thing!
Mrs Stokan has recorded reading the passage to further help you with your translation. Click the recording button on the left to listen!
This week for Italiano revisit the clips in the Prep, Junior and Middle Levels and practise saying the phrases.
Step 1: View and listen to the story read by Signora Vincenza.
Step 2: Read along with Signora Vincenza.
Step 3: Read along again. This time as you read, remember to gesture.
Step 4. Create a doc in your Italian folder and using the vocabulary presented in the book, describe a friend, a brother or sister and yourself.
Here are some sentence starters.
Il mio amico ha... (My friend has...)
La mia amica ha... (My friend has...)
Il mio fratello ha...(My brother has...).
La mia sorella ha... ( My sister has...)
Ho... (I have...)
Watch the clip on how to conjugate verbs ending in 'ere', such as prendere. At the end of the clip there are three verbi for you to conjugate. Go to your Italian folder and create a doc.
Give your doc a title: 'Ere' Verbi
Watch the clip on how to conjugate verbs ending in 'are', such as pensare. At the end of the clip there are four verbi for you to conjugate. Go to your Italian folder and create a doc.
Give your doc a title: 'Are' Verbi
Look at the pictures. What might the children and the teacher be saying?
Write down as many words, phrases and sentences in Italian that you can remember.
Practice saying them.
Write a conversation between two people using your knowledge of words and phrases.
