Scones are a yummy afternoon tea. We all love them especially with some jam and cream. This recipe only requires 4 ingredients. The key to not making rock cakes instead of scones is:
DO NOT KNEAD. You want your scones to be light and fluffy. By kneading you are making them doughy and heavy. JUST FOLD THE MIXTURE.
Place your scones nearly touching each other whilst they are cooking. It's like having your best friend by your side to support you. This helps them cook evenly in the oven and allows the air to filter through the scones. Otherwise you will get rock cakes and we all know we don't want that.
