Welcome to Middle Remote Learning Page

Dear Children and Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the Middle Level page for 2021! Our Middle cohort have had a great start to the year with the children happily returning to being back onsite at SPA. Over the past two weeks, learners have participated enthusiastically in a range of SWELL and getting to know you activities. Our Middles returned from their holidays smiling and eager to be back at school.

Learners have enthusiastically navigated being in a new year level, a new space and with a new class. We have established new relationships with our peers and with our new teachers, as well as seeing old friends. We have also settled into the routine of being a part of the Middle family. We hope to continue building these relationships onsite!

During this brief lockdown period, we ask that you please familiarise yourself with our online learning space. At this stage, you will have access to activities posted last year, that learners had access to during the last lockdown. We have provided some new activities which you can find in the ‘2021 Snap Lockdown Activities’ tab button below. We have included engaging learning tasks that you can do with minimal fuss or preparation over the next few days. These tasks will help the children revise the concepts learnt at school. You are encouraged to take photos of your child’s learning and achievements and email them to your class teacher. Our email addresses are provided on this page.

If the lockdown period continues beyond the five advised days, the team will provide meaningful learning experiences for the Middle children. This will be similar to 2020, but with a new team, we will have new ideas and a new way of presenting this to you.

Parents and children are encouraged to check the site regularly for any updates.

We thank you for your ongoing support and for working with us in partnership for the benefit of your child during these unprecedented times.

With Warmest regards,

The Middle Team - Zoe, Kayla, Laura, Adam, Teresa and Adriana

We acknowledge the elders, families and descendants of the Wurundjeri people who have been and are the traditional owners of these lands. We acknowledge that the land in which we meet was the place of age old ceremonies of celebration, initiation and renewal. We also acknowledge that the local Aboriginal people have had and continue to have a unique role in the life of these lands.
