Item courtesy of Celia Murray (nee Goodall) - assisted by Richard Nash
Mary was born in 1927 and later married to become Mrs Mary Murray. Her daughter Celia Murray, came across several of her Mother's albums and contacted the site to offer their contents for inclusion and publication, as they contained a lot of information, photos, newspaper clippings, etc. that relate to her Mother's days at "The Old Tech" and following years.
Due to amount and variety of content, it has been decided to devote a whole Page, and Sub-pages, to "The Album of Mary Goodall".
In the absence of any notations to many of the photos and items, and not being able to consult with Mary, it was an almost impossible task to put each item into a correct and relevant Sub-page. So, to overcome this problem we have established the following Sub-pages that seem appropriate for the items supplied. Those being, “Sport”, “Reunions”, “School Photos”, “In Memoriam”, “Memorabilia”, “Social”, and “Miscellaneous”.
(Click on the “V” for the drop-down menu of Sub-pages – then click on the Sub-page to open it.)
This is a most interesting Album to browse through with items from yester-year right up to recent times, an insight for younger viewers and possibly some memory joggers for the senior ex-pupils.
Our thanks and appreciations go to Celia for her generous and thoughtful consideration.
Our thanks and appreciation also go to Richard Nash, who travelled to Celia's and did a grand job in difficult circumstances (as the albums were naturally old and not in pristine condition), and yet he managed to scan all the contents. What was scanned is what you see – with only minor editing to improve the presentation of content.
(We are so grateful to have received such historically valuable content for our website, which serves to confirm, that the “Wycombe Tech – The Old School” is the only website that records, and is interested in presenting, - “OUR” History).
