I attended The Tech for 8 years - having failed two of my A levels in 1966, I stayed an extra year, and just about managed to scrape through them second time around.

I was part of Malcolm Newman’s group, having started at the Tech in September 1959 and leaving in June 1967.

I did an extra year, having flunked A levels in 1966, so I had a full year in the JHGS at the top of Marlow Hill.

At the last "Malcolm Reunion", I was given some copies of the School magazine “Technical Cygnet” -Volume 1 no. 7 – February 1962, Volume 1 no. 9 – March 1964 and Volume 1 no. 10 – July 1964. I will try to scan them and forward them to the "website" for others to enjoy reading.
