Can anyone help Marise with her enquiry :
"At the last meeting of the "WTI Old Pupils committee" a commemorative ornament was presented to all the members. My mum's went missing, and I wondered, not too hopefully, whether anyone still had theirs" ? Further to that, a local craftsman, or maybe even one of the group, presented all the committee members with a fairly large paperweight type ornament, which I always thought was like a mini-iceberg! with "Quit ye like men" etched on it. Unfortunately my mum's went missing during house clearance. If any members still have theirs maybe they could upload a photo of it to the site? Because that's the only version of it I'm likely to see again - unless anyone wants to sell me theirs of course!

Does anyone happen to know of the where-abouts of "Molly Murray" ? She was one of my mother's (Ruth Langston) best friends at school, and her bridesmaid. I'm trying to find out if she's still alive - I haven't seen her since mum's funeral. If she is still around I would love to communicate with her.

I would like to inform “our community”, that my classmate and friend - Dorothy Meadowcroft (married name now Bates), is still as “Bright as a button”, but has unfortunately, some health problems.
Dorothy Is now 91 – and enjoys reading the comments, etc, on “our website” (so you “youngsters” get your fingers moving, and give Dorothy some more enjoyment from reading your comments, and mischievous exploits).
Both Betsy Smith and Dorothy, would very much welcome and like to hear from any of their contemporary classmates and friends, from back in those memorable days.
Betsy would love to hear from, say - Otto Decker (of “Kinder” transport era), or those at The Tech during the war. (Otto was my school sweetheart, who played football for Wycombe Wanderers, and now I believe, lives in Florida, USA. Otto will be “90” in September.
If you are “out there” - there is no excuse – get your children, grandchildren, even GREAT grandchildren, to tap the keys on the keyboard, and communicate – there are many of us that would be thrilled to hear from you and relive such memorable times.
