Tribute to Roy Stringer :

I worked with Roy at the G.P.O. (now B.T.) as a Trainee Telephone Engineer. Roy had already completed his training by the time I commenced. Roy was a good person to learn from. He excelled at woodwork based skills and for a time manufactured top class crossbows. He also made oars for my brother-in-law’s boat. I lost contact with Roy many years ago but I have learnt from contacts that Roy passed away soon after the death of his wife.
