In times of stress and emergency
Some people really shine.
They respond with so much urgency
With which kindness they combine.
From some this is quite unusual,
To be kind and considerate.
Nevertheless received with much approval,
We're grateful for its deliverance.
Many examples come to mind
Of this most pleasant of phenomena.
The girl to the shop assigned,
The boss with so much stamina.
The man in the street you know not,
Who helps you cross the road;
The boy who like a shot,
Takes on your heavy load.
This sort of spontaneous reaction
When all seems without resolution,
Gives our lives so much more traction,
To face any emergent evolution.
