If this lockdown goes on for any length of time,
Will it eradicate contagious diseases?
On the other hand will we lose our immunity?
To those coughs, and colds and sneezes.
After nine days of isolation,
It’s now not quite so novel;
And we may realise to save our nation
It’s really not so awful.
Will our lives be changed forever?
Will we be more self-controlled?
And recognise the treasure,
Our health and wellbeing to enfold.
Will we have found some inner strength?
We never knew we had;
A peace that came at length,
All because of something bad.
