We talk of isolation with much more frequency;
And now for most of us it has become reality.
For those of us with life partners it comes more easily,
Spare a thought for those quite company free.
Our lives are changed by Government ruling,
To help slow down the virus spreading.
Even those that need daily schooling,
Must stay at home but surely won’t be fretting.
Our daily walks take on a whole new meaning,
A chance to see others, if only from afar.
We know that we are all quarantining,
And somehow it breaks down social bar.
Like a falling leaf this virus carelessly lands,
With a preference for the immunity deficient,
It's passage now completely out of hand;
Let's hope our defences are sufficient.
We are told that this time of isolation will be limited,
So we will look forward to a return to normality,
To do those things now prohibited
And once again to enjoy others’ hospitality.
