We care for them for so long until they leave the nest,
We love them each of them, with our every breath.
We hope and pray that all we do is for their very best,
And we shall keeping on doing it until our day of death.
To us they will always be
Our children who need protection.
And from this we shall never flee
Even in the face of possible rejection.
There will be times when our assistance,
Will be received with some reluctance.
Even worse it’ll be labelled interference,
And may even have that appearance.
It is therefore so important,
That our love for one another,
Be not ever shortened
One to match the other.
For love and its ramifications
Are in family quite reciprocal.
They form the very foundations
Of that we find formidable.
