Every day we make decisions,
Whether they be right or wrong;
Not always with a vision
Of consequences that could last long.
It sometimes takes great courage
To be at once decisive;
So we put that action into storage,
That can only be derisive.
Deferring a decision
Can sometimes be desired;
Time for consideration
To get the result one envisaged.
It’s well some decisions can be altered
When they prove to be in error;
Be sure the new one is not faulted,
Then no help to you whatsoever.
The alternative is consensus
To overcome this indecision;
It may not then be contentious,
Nor destroy the original intention.
