How rewarding is a baby’s smile,
It brings such joy, for just a while;
It brightens up his little face
Endemic to the human race.
Accompany this with that little gurgle,
Just his way of trying to be verbal;
This time in life is oh so fleeting.
It’s his special way of you greeting.
All too soon he’ll be a man;
He may even start a clan.
His smiles now will have more meaning,
Than those days when he was weaning.
Most parents will appreciate
All that smile does encapsulate;
We hope it portrays adult joy,
As it did when he was just a boy.
