In September, the METO unit will be joining the consortium of the EU-funded VERMEER project (LIFE program). Our know-how and experience on QSAR and PBPK modeling will be applied to real life case-studies aimed at proposing safer substitutes for dangerous chemicals.
Indeed, the goal of VERMEER is to deliver cutting-edge solutions for the substitution of dangerous chemicals by providing a flexible and user-friendly tool that will help the identification of suitable substitutes for a wide range of chemical classes.
This integrated tool will perform multiple assessments by considering the hazards towards human health (or other living species), persistence and bioaccumulation in the food chain and different exposure scenarios.
