Verification Activities: V-PLD-1622

Pass Criteria: No damage payload, including the camera or payload samples detected before or after vibration testing.

Detailed Description:

Before spacecraft level vibration tests, visually inspect the payload module via the payload window for damage or FOD:

· Using a flashlight in a bright room

· Using a UV light source in a dark room.

After spacecraft level vibration tests, visually inspect the payload module via the payload window for damage or FOD:

· Using a flashlight in a bright room

· Using a UV light source in a dark room.

TVAC Tests

TVAC Ambient Plateau Full Functional Payload Test

Task Description: After the TVAC chamber has been pumped to vacuum pressure but before the temperature has been modulated, verify that Payload is capable of functioning correctly over a full functional test.

Completion Deadline:

Team Member: Ali

Resources Required: Full spacecraft, “ground” coms communication, vacuum-safe LED in TVAC chamber

Verification Activities: V-PLD-1625, V-PLD-1626

Pass Criteria: Payload can take, store, and transmit a camera image and health telemetry to CDH as commanded over a simulated operation.

Detailed Description:

After the TVAC chamber has been pumped to vacuum pressure but before the temperature has been modulated, on the flight model, turn on the LED inside the vacuum chamber and perform a full payload functional test by turning the satellite onto normal operations mode, turning the payload on, commanding one camera to take an image, store the image as well as thermistor data, and send the image and pointing angle to CDH. Process the payload data and transmit the payload data to "ground" via COMS. During this time, monitor the payload's current draw and power line voltage on the power module to confirm that the payload uses no more than 0.12 A, that the voltage line is within it's acceptable range, and that the module uses no more than 0.9 W at peak consumption.

TVAC Cold Plateau Full Functional Payload Test

Task Description: During the cold plateau portion of the spacecraft level TVAC test, verify that Payload is capable of functioning correctly over a full functional test.

Completion Deadline:

Team Member: Ali

Resources Required: Full spacecraft, “ground” coms communication, vacuum-safe LED in TVAC chamber

Verification Activities: V-PLD-1623

Pass Criteria: Payload can take, store, and transmit a camera image and health telemetry to CDH as commanded over a simulated operation.

Detailed Description:

During the cold plateau portion of the TVAC cycle, on the flight model, turn on the LED inside the vacuum chamber and perform a full payload functional test by turning the satellite onto normal operations mode, turning the payload on, commanding one camera to take an image, store the image as well as thermistor data, and send the image and pointing angle to CDH.
