The sample supports are placed underneath each sample to ensure that the samples are held in only compression. As each sample has a unique height, the sample supports must have corresponding heights to ensure that each sample is held snugly.
The table below shows the sample dimensions and sizing calculations for each sample support.
The following figures show the engineering drawings for the sample supports. Note that as some samples have very similar heights, some sample supports have the same dimensions.
