This page contains the FLATSAT tests that were conducted to verify Power verification activities for FLATSAT as shown in the table below. These set of tests start with communicating with the CDH through the terminal and adding the rest of the subsystems as the FLATSAT plan continues.
Verification activities V-POW-0190, V-POW-2006, V-POW-3034, and V-POW-3120 were done on February 25, 2022. Below is the detailed report for the tests.

Verification Method

Verification Activity Text
Test the restraint mechanisms in the flatsat test by checking if current is passing through a dummy load such as a resistor, thus, proving that power is provided to the restraint mechanisms. The dummy load acts as a representation of the burn wire circuit load. The circuit shall be able to provide a current of 1A +- 0.1 mA
Verification Method
connect the load to the switch output. send the command through Terminal and read the current sensor value. the current shown should be about 1000mA +- 100mA

Verification Activity Text
Test the DET switches by replacing the solar arrays with a current source. Perform the test in with the flight model at flatsat, the solar arrays should have the voltage as the bus voltage. The voltage drop shall be less than 0.05V
Verification Method
connect the power supply in place of solar panels, set the current limit to 200 mA. connect the EM battery pack. send the [turn on solar array input (i)] to PCU. observe the power supply switch to the CC mode. write down the voltage reading of the power supply (+picture). send the [read MSB voltage] command to PCU. compare the terminal value with the voltage value from the power supply. the values should be the same +-0.05V for tolerance

Verification Activity Text
Activate the inhibit switch to test if it isolates (no interconnecting conductors) the FM batteries from the negative terminal to ground at the flatsat test
Verification Method
connect a power supply in place of the battery pack. activate footswitches and the RBF switch. measure the continuity between the battery's negative terminal and the GND of the power subsystem, it should show no connection. release the footswitch, the multimeter should show connection between the GND and battery negative terminal
