Payload Failure Modes Analysis

The following Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) was performed to identify and mitigate potential payload failure modes and satisfy payload verification activities V-PLD-0430, V-PLD-0431, V-PLD-0960, V-PLD-0970, and V-PLD-0971, V-PLD-0980, V-PLD-0981, and V-PLD-1240. This analysis was first performed during phase B and revisited during phase C.

The largest risk identified was payload samples fracturing during launch vibrations. However, the likelihood of this risk has been identified as low, given that the payload samples have survived two rounds of vibration testing.
