Less-granular-control real-time-strategy game

The key premise is that you can't move a single unit to a single location, or get a unit to attack another unit. Instead, control is achieved via the following:

    • Units may be selected and deselected

    • Units can be added to groups (minimum 1 unit per group)

    • Groups can be given orders:

      • Guard + an area drawn on the map

      • Explore + an area drawn on the map

      • Patrol + an area drawn on the map

      • Attack + an area drawn on the map

Drawing areas on the map is a key element of the design. The area templates would include: circle, rectangle and free-draw.
